Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space, part of the FBM program, seeks a Staff Electrical Component Engineer in Denver, CO. You will guide EEEE parts engineering for hardware design, manufacture, and test, and collaborate with suppliers and government labs to ensure performance in harsh environments.

The role requires leadership in qualification, failure analysis, and cross-disciplinary coordination, with mentoring opportunities and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits.
• Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEEE parts.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.
• Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret; US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical/ Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering tasks related to hardware design, manufacture and test.
• Lead in selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEEE Parts.
• Prepare technical and progress reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
• Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, hybrids, crystals, oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
• Travel and collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to meet quality and performance requirements.
• Provide technical mentoring plans and development opportunities for junior engineers.
