Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to lead and assist in EEE parts engineering, development and management for the FBM program. You will evaluate new technologies and coordinate with survivability, design, test and manufacturing teams to ensure part performance in harsh environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, knowledge of EEE parts, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; experience with drawings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience
• Experience with electrical parts, circuits and design
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing and materials for EEE parts
• Experience reviewing drawings and specifications
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
• Familiarity with program plans and specifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in EEE Parts Engineering tasks related to hardware design, manufacture and test
• Lead selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEE parts
• Prepare progress reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
• Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
• Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs and more
• Travel and work with suppliers and government agencies to ensure compliance
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth
