Job summary

AbbVie’s Allergan Aesthetics unit seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability for large-scale public-facing software. You will lead SRE practices, drive observability, and ensure availability and performance targets are met in collaboration with the Cloud Platform team.

The role requires hands-on engineering, mentoring, and architecture input, with experience in Terraform, Kubernetes on AWS, and Datadog.

Qualifications

Hands-on SRE with leadership experience across large-scale public-facing services.
Define and drive SLO/SLI frameworks and error budgets.
Proficient in Terraform and Kubernetes on AWS; strong observability focus.

Responsibilities

Define and champion SLO/SLI frameworks and error budgets.
Own observability strategy: metrics, logs, traces, alerting.
Lead capacity planning, load testing, and resilience testing for critical services.
Establish production readiness reviews and partner with development teams.
Identify and eliminate toil through automation and self-healing systems.
Gather and analyze metrics to drive performance tuning and fault finding.
Contribute reliability improvements via IaC (Terraform) and Kubernetes config.
Own incident response process, with postmortem practice.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide hands-on incident support.
Champion reliability, security, and scalability standards across AA Tech services.
