Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability for Allergan Aesthetics' large-scale public-facing software. You will lead SRE practices, champion SLO/SLI, own observability, and guide incident management across the Cloud Platform team.

You will mentor engineers, implement automated resilience measures, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet availability and performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Deep experience implementing SRE practices, metrics and reliability strategies.
• Strong automation focus with scripting and tooling for operations.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion SLO/SLI frameworks and error budget decisions.
• Own observability across services: metrics, logs, traces, alerts.
• Lead capacity planning, load testing, and resilience/chaos testing.
• Establish production readiness reviews with development teams.
• Reduce toil via automation and self-healing systems.
• Analyze metrics to tune performance and fault detection.
• Contribute IaC improvements using Terraform and Kubernetes on AWS.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive reliability initiatives.
• Support incident management with blameless postmortems.
