Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own and run the APAC backbone—the network and infrastructure that everything depends on. This is a hands-on role at early stage expansion, with independence from Europe and the opportunity to build and lead the local SRE team.

Responsibilities include defining reliability targets, driving improvements across network and data centers, incident leadership, observability, and safe change workflows, while collaborating with APAC and European

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SRE/infrastructure engineering with leadership or tech-lead responsibilities.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and debugging skills for complex systems.
• Solid networking knowledge including failure domains and performance.
• Hands-on experience operating highly available systems and improving them.
• Ability to write/maintain automation in Go or Python.
• Experience with modern infrastructure tooling (IaC, CI/CD, containers).
• Ability to work independently in a startup/early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own reliability targets (SLIs/SLOs, availability, error budgets).
• Drive reliability improvements across APAC network and data centers.
• Own incident response, lead investigations, and implement long-term fixes.
• Build and evolve observability with metrics, logs, traces, alerts.
• Design safe change workflows with CI/CD, canaries, rollbacks, audits.
• Collaborate with APAC and Europe teams to embed operability.
