Job summary

Nebius Group is seeking a Staff Network Engineer / Player-Coach Team Lead to spearhead APAC network infrastructure growth and operations. The role blends hands-on engineering (50–70% initially) with people leadership of a 2–5 engineers, across APAC and coordinated with EU/EMEA and US HQ.

Remote in APAC with visits to regional DCs and Amsterdam HQ. You will bridge global network architecture with regional execution, drive backbone development, and ensure round-the-clock production network

Qualifications

Expert-Level Technical Background.
Experience with Service Provider or Data Center Clos networks.
Proficient in BGP/IS-IS SR-MPLS/SRv6 and traffic balancing.
Experience with EVPN-VXLAN and L3 VPNs.
Led mid-to-senior engineering teams.
Familiar with GPU clusters and SDN overlays.

Responsibilities

Deploy APAC network part and backbone across regions.
Lead, mentor, and structurally develop a regional engineering team of 2–5 engineers.
Own regional task planning, backlog prioritization, and end-to-end execution.
Drive Launch and Deploy processes for new DataCentre and customers.
Coordinate with global HQ for follow-the-sun operations.
Hands-on engineering work 50–60% during first year.
Ensure regional autonomy and incident resolution.
Bridge global roadmaps with local execution across APAC facilities.
