Nebius is building a full-stack AI cloud platform with global infrastructure. This role is a Lead Site Reliability Engineer responsible for building and operating network infrastructure in the APAC region during early expansion, combining hands-on SRE work with team leadership as the region grows.
What You'll Do
- Define and own reliability goals for network services and critical paths in APAC region, including SLIs/SLOs and availability targets
- Drive reliability improvements across APAC network infrastructure including site readiness, inter-site connectivity (DCI), and operational standards for new data centers
- Own incident response for network areas, lead investigations and postmortems, establish on-call and incident management practices
- Build and evolve observability infrastructure: actionable metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and faster debug loops
- Design safer change workflows including automation, CI/CD, test environments, canarying, rollbacks, and auditability for network changes
- Hire, onboard, and mentor the first SREs in the region and establish engineering standards
- Work closely with network engineers and platform teams across APAC and Europe to embed operability into designs
What You Need
- 7+ years of experience in SRE or infrastructure engineering, including team leadership or technical lead role with broad production system ownership
- Strong production Linux fundamentals and structured approach to debugging complex systems
- Solid understanding of networking basics and how real networks fail (control plane vs data plane, latency/loss, failure domains)
- Hands-on experience operating high-availability systems and improving them over time
- Ability to write and maintain software and automation (Go or Python preferred)
- Experience with modern infrastructure tooling including IaC, CI/CD, and container platforms
- Ability to work independently in early-stage environment and build processes and team from scratch
Nice to Have
- Experience with high-throughput traffic processing such as load balancers, tunneling/decapsulation, NAT64, or datapath-heavy systems
- Low-level networking performance and debug background including eBPF, XDP, DPDK, perf, ftrace, or kernel networking internals
- Experience building network-safe delivery pipelines with testing labs, staged rollouts, automated verification, and drift detection
- Background with large-scale network observability and telemetry including routing/flow telemetry and regression detection at scale
- Knowledge of APAC network landscape including carriers, internet exchanges, regional connectivity, and regulatory specifics
