Option Care Health is a leading home infusion provider hiring a Lead Specialist, Patient Access - Specialty Operations in California. The role focuses on transitioning new patients to our services, coordinating with referrals, sales, pharmacy and nursing to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery.

Responsibilities include documenting referrals, assisting with patient payment options, and guiding teammates. Training and mentoring new hires are expected, with a 8:30a-5p Pacific schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in medical patient registration or reimbursement software.
• Experience with Brightree, CPR+, Dezine or Day Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Create, communicate and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
• Help patients find payment options and direct to financial assistance when needed.
• Support actions to ensure clean claims and manage denials (follow up on missing paperwork).
• Provide training and mentoring for new hires.
• Assist Supervisor/Manager to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Assist with special assignments and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend resolutions.
