Job summary

The Joshua School in Centennial, CO is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team. The role focuses on developing, monitoring, and maintaining educational and behavior analytic programming for a caseload of 6 students aged 6–10.

The position features a standard school schedule (M–F, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) with no evenings or weekends, 10 paid PD/conference days, and generous paid time off. The school emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree with Special Education Teaching license and/or on a Temporary Teacher Eligibility/Interim Teacher License.
• Plus four years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (highly preferred).
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based practices for children with autism spectrum disorder (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher collaborates with Directors, Specialists and Instructional Assistants to implement student programming.
• Provide oversight, supervision, and coaching to Instructional Assistants on caseload.
• Develop and monitor IEP/BIP aligned programming and data collection.
• Coordinate classroom schedules and curriculum for independent living, social, academic and vocational skills.
• Oversee incident reporting, safety training, and compliance with policies.
