Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary Autism Program in Thornton, CO. You will provide center-based instruction for 2nd–5th grade, aligning IEP goals and maintaining a structured learning environment.

You will collaborate with a school team and therapists, with licensure support and a full benefits package. The role is full-time for the 2026–2027 school year, starting August 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with autism and/or in a center-based setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction in a center-based elementary classroom.
• Support students with autism across academic, behavioral, and functional goals.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a structured, supportive environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, specialists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs.
• Write progress reports and maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
• Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Incorporate appropriate technology and instructional resources to enhance learning.
