Job summary

Community Autism Services in Aurora, CO is hiring a Special Education Teacher for two levels: Elementary and Middle/High School. Join a program with embedded BCBA support, data-driven instruction, and trauma-informed practices to help students with significant behavioral and emotional needs.

You will design individualized instruction, lead IEP processes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure meaningful outcomes for students in a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado CDE license with a Special Education Generalist Endorsement or equivalent licensure.
• Colorado credential pathways including professional/initial SEE options may apply.
• Experience in higher-acuity SPED settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage IEPs, annual meetings, and progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
• Deliver instruction aligned to IEPs with differentiation and structured teaching.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to support student outcomes.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and coach instructional staff.
• Document progress and participate in MTSS/problem-solving teams.
