May Institute's May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Chicopee, MA is seeking a Lead Special Education Teacher. You will guide instruction for children and adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities, lead a team, and implement ABA strategies to drive meaningful outcomes.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, collaborative mentoring, ongoing professional growth, and adherence to ethical and legal standards.

Formación

• Master's degree preferred.
• MA State Teaching License in Moderate or Severe Special Education - current or pursuing.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ABA knowledge preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for making a difference.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic, social, vocational, and self-care skills.
• Mentor and guide teachers and teacher assistants, creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
• Use data-driven decision-making to track student progress and refine strategies for maximum success.
• Stay at the forefront of ABA innovations, incorporating the latest research and best practices into instruction.
• Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards in special education and behavior management.
