Qualifications

• Experience teaching and supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other significant and complex needs.
• Working knowledge of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment with behavior standards promoting positive social and academic experiences.
• Plan and deliver dynamic, creative lessons reflecting diverse backgrounds while aligning with MA Curriculum Frameworks and Universal Design for Learning.
• Ensure accommodations and modifications to the general education curriculum per each student’s IEP; write goals and progress reports; attend annual meetings.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws, regulations and mandates.
• Collaborate with a wide range of colleagues.
• Establish open communication with parents/guardians/caregivers.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure and SEI endorsement.
