Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Colorado, is building reusable space vehicles and lunar systems. This role sits in the Lunar Permanence unit, focusing on defining software across Lunar programs and ensuring safe, reliable operations for crew and cargo transport to the Moon.

You will collaborate with systems engineers and program managers to shape verification plans, lead best practices, and guide cross-functional teams. A strong background in aerospace software and fault management is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in computer science, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Experience developing test cases, procedures, and scripts for software verification.
• Experience developing software requirements, verification plans, and test cases.
• Experience working across systems and software disciplines, leading cross-functional groups.
• Experience in spacecraft design and operations.
• Experience with fault management design.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Define software verification and test plans with systems engineers, developers, and PMs.
• Lead team members on software verification best practices.
• Work with Verification RE to set direction and goals for verification events and test cases.
• Manage hardware-software integration issues across vehicle and mission design teams.
• Ensure safety-critical software development processes are properly captured for safe missions.
