L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Thermal Engineer to head spacecraft thermal design, modeling, and analysis for space optics programs. You will architect and validate thermal solutions across orbital environments and mentor a team of engineers across multidisciplinary groups.

Responsibilities include defining architecture, creating detailed models, and leading hardware HVAC design and test planning, with opportunities to influence mission success and design reviews.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering with 9+ years related experience; graduate degree otherwise.
• 5+ years of professional Thermal Desktop usage and space design.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or IPTL roles; security clearance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead spacecraft-level thermal design, defining architecture and requirements.
• Develop detailed thermal models for all mission phases and environments.
• Lead creation and validation of thermal control hardware and budgets.
• Own requirements flow to payloads, avionics, and subsystems; evaluate trades.
• Direct development of thermal models using standard tools and TVAC planning.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement in processes.
