Job summary

Vast is seeking a Lead Integration Build Engineer in Long Beach, CA to support Haven-1 assembly, integration, and test. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, develop tooling, and ensure builds meet schedule, cost, and performance targets for a human-rated space station program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field
• 2+ years of related engineering experience
• Experience with build, integration, or test of complex assemblies
• Experience leading teams or projects
• Ability to plan vehicle-level verifications and tests

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team developing facilities, tooling, and processes for Haven-1 flight hardware
• Oversee hardware production and vehicle-level integration to ensure safety, schedule, and cost targets
• Design tooling and fixtures for all integration campaigns
• Own relationships with design engineering, supply chain, and cross-functional teams
• Drive nonconformance root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Develop work instructions and tests for flight hardware
