Job summary

Vast Space Llc. seeks an Integration Supervisor in Long Beach, CA, to lead a team of integration technicians in building space station hardware.

You will supervise multi-step assembly, ensure adherence to engineering standards, and coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to meet critical milestones. The role requires senior-level hands-on experience, strong safety practices, and the ability to work overtime as needed to support flight builds.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in aerospace integration or high-reliability hardware manufacturing.
• Experience leading technicians in production, lab, or cleanroom.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and torque tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shift activities for a team of integration technicians.
• Facilitate shift handoffs between 1st and 2nd shifts for continuous builds.
• Train and mentor technicians, ensuring skill progression and safety.
• Manage workforce allocation and time tracking to meet milestones.
• Supervise integration of flight hardware across assembly, routing, and harnessing.
• Adhere to work instructions, drawings, schematics, and QA specs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineers to resolve issues.
• Promote DF(M) practices and improve work instructions and tooling.
