Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Integration Build Engineer to join a fast-moving team developing Haven Station propulsion systems for a new space economy. You will work with engineers, technicians, and designers to translate concepts into manufacturable hardware and drive production readiness.

The role requires hands-on hardware integration, CAD experience (Siemens NX), and strong collaboration skills. Full-time, exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably aerospace.
• Hands-on hardware integration and testing experience.
• Experience coordinating with technicians and multi-person production teams.

Responsibilities

• Support engine assembly operations with integration technicians and engineers.
• Collaborate with design team on manufacturability and assembly processes for E-2 engine.
• Create and iterate assembly/disassembly process plans.
• Maintain detailed manufacturing plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure integration procedures reflect efficient assembly practices.
• Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of components.
• Specify and procure manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Implement continuous improvements on the shop floor.
