Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state seeks a Box Responsible Engineer to own solid-state power amplifiers for lunar communications, from requirements through flight support.

You will lead card-level REs across RF, power, control, and embedded software, coordinating with systems engineering, mission planning, and manufacturing to ensure robust, flight-ready hardware; U.S. citizenship or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in RF/microwave hardware development.
• Experience as a box or product-level Responsible Engineer with multi-card integration.
• Space-grade or high-reliability RF hardware experience preferred.
• Clear cross-disciplinary leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Box Responsible Engineer for SSPA assemblies and box-level budgets.
• Lead card-level REs across RF, power, and control domains.
• Define interfaces, perform design reviews, and manage risk.
• Plan validation, test campaigns, and flight support activities.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, mission planning, and manufacturing.
