Job summary

Blue Origin in Los Angeles is seeking a Box Responsible Engineer for solid-state power amplifier assemblies supporting lunar communication systems. You will own the SSPA integration from requirements to flight support and lead a cross-disciplinary team.

The role demands leadership across RF, power, control/digital domains, deep hardware know-how, and a track record of delivering complex space hardware on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience developing RF/microwave hardware.
• Experience as a box/assembly/product-level Responsible Engineer with integrated multi-card responsibility.
• Space-grade or high-reliability RF hardware experience and radiation-tolerant component selection.

Responsibilities

• Own the box from requirements to integration, validation, and flight support.
• Provide technical leadership across RF, power, and control/digital domains.
• Lead box-level design reviews, tests, and risk management.
• Prepare technical reports and present status updates to leadership.
