Job summary

Chart House Alexandria is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team at one of the city’s most iconic waterfront restaurants. Known for offering the best river views in Alexandria, our historic Old Town location features exceptional seafood, panoramic views of the Potomac River, and one of the area’s most popular Sunday brunches.

The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, teamwork, and execution, and thrives in a high-volume, scenic dining environment

Qualifications

2+ years of culinary management in upscale/fine dining.
Strong staff supervision and inventory controls.
Experience with food and labor cost management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Graduate of accredited culinary program is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and ensure guest satisfaction with a hands-on management style.
Assist Executive Chef in managing back-of-house staff, training and development.
Help achieve or exceed budgeted labor and cost centers.
Oversee weekly/monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies.
Maintain sanitation procedures and OSHA compliance.
