Smart Staffing Group is seeking a Sous Chef in Millerton, NY to act as the second in command to the Executive Chef. The role requires 3+ years in the industry and a current Food Handler's License, with duties spanning administrative, supervisory, and educational tasks.

The position offers 35-40 hours per week with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, and a $19.00/hour pay rate plus a 6-month signing bonus of $500.

Qualifikationen

• Experience preparing, sauteeing, grilling, and frying.
• Proficient knife skills.
• Solid knowledge of food, preparation methods, proper food handling and storage.

Aufgaben

• Run the kitchen in the Chef's absence, following the Chef's directions, policies, and standards.
• Compose and place orders.
• Check in orders and ensure proper storage and organization of product.
• Create daily preparation sheets.
• Oversee staff and assist in training staff to advance their skills.
• Enforce Chef approved kitchen schedules.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and maintenance schedules.
