Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Boston is seeking a Sous Chef to support all kitchen operations, lead a high-volume team, and ensure culinary excellence across service.

You will work closely with Front and Back of House, supervise up to 25 staff, uphold safety standards, and drive quality, consistency, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This role offers growth opportunities and requires flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of culinary or kitchen management experience in high-volume foodservice.
• Strong understanding of food quality, presentation, production efficiency, food safety, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen production and service according to established guidelines.
• Lead kitchen team and ensure consistency, quality and hospitality.
• Coach staff on food preparation, safety, and sanitation; manage inventory and equipment maintenance.
