Job summary

Destination Hospitality LLC in Steamboat Springs, CO, seeks a Sous Chef to lead line execution, uphold quality, and train culinary staff. You will stabilize the line, reinforce systems, and mentor cooks toward professional growth in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include station management, collaboration with BOH/FOH, and ensuring safety, labeling, and inventory controls are followed. ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Line leadership experience in high-volume or upscale concepts.
• Strong coaching and communication skills with BOH/FOH teams.
• Commitment to food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Open/close stations to Standard; verify mise, temps, and readiness for peak periods.
• Lead line to maintain flow, pacing, and quality checks; support the pass as needed.
• Coach cooks on knife work, heat management, timing, and cleanliness; communicate features/allergen notes.
