Job summary

The Links at Summerly / Blackburn Lounge & Grill on the Links is seeking a Sous Chef to support the executive chef in daily kitchen leadership, food quality, training and efficient service.

You will lead shifts, coordinate prep and line staffing, uphold recipe, portion and safety standards, and coach cooks while assisting with ordering, inventory and production planning. This role requires strong communication with the team and guest-facing service coordination in a busy restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen leadership experience in a full service restaurant.
• Strong cooking, coaching, ordering and service management skills.
• Able to lead varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Hold or obtain required food protection manager certification for assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts and coordinate prep, line staffing and service execution.
• Maintain recipe, portion, presentation and food safety standards across stations.
• Train and coach cooks and help resolve performance or service issues.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, waste control and production planning.
• Communicate maintenance, staffing and menu needs to the executive chef.
