Compass Group's Eurest USA in Bellevue, WA is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to coordinate kitchen activities and supervise food-service staff under the Executive Chef. Fixed pay rate: $29.32 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus available.

The Sous Chef will help the Executive Chef prepare and cook foods; coordinate the activities of cooks and other food-service associates; and assume responsibility during the Executive Chef’s absence. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership experience required.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards; ensures deadlines are met based on production orders.
• Supervises hourly food-service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviewing performance and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Stores food in designated areas in compliance with corporate, state and federal food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils; cleans workstations and displays to meet sanitation and safety requirements.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner; relays information to supervisor.
• Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them to associates and customers.
