Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support growth in Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation. You will design and propose solutions that deliver value, understand the customer business, and mentor other engineers through pursuit and startup phases.

Responsibilities include leading design processes, communicating with stakeholders, and shaping wins plans to align with Ryder's capabilities and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry required.
• Six (6) years or more in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry required.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint expert required.

Responsibilities

• Lead designing solutions that deliver financial value to customers.
• Support bid submissions, review objectives, and develop hypotheses for solution design.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to develop cost and pricing models.
• Lead consulting projects and mentor a small team of engineers.
• Ensure smooth startup transition from design to operations.
