Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to grow our Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation offerings. You will design and write proposals delivering measurable value, validate concepts with stakeholders, and guide a pursuit from start to finish through startup transition.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, advanced analytics, and strong communication to shape wins and ensure feasible, sustainable designs across transportation and warehousing networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry.
• Six (6) years or more in the Warehousing or Manufacturing industry.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of visualization tools and data analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP documents, clarify gaps, and develop initial hypotheses for the solution design.
• Develop cost models and design operations concepts.
• Lead design projects across transportation and warehousing networks.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to support proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage a small team when needed.
• Ensure designs are aligned with customer needs and win strategy.
