Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support growth in Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation by crafting feasible, value-driven designs. You will help shape wins, mentor a small team, and ensure designs align with Ryder's capabilities and customer needs.

You will participate in bid processes, conduct data-driven analyses, and collaborate with pricing, IT, and operations to transition designs into startup phases. DOT regulated considerations apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry.
• Six (6) years or more in Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledgeable of visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead solutions design efforts to grow Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation offerings.
• Develop feasible designs aligned with customer needs and win strategies.
• Support bid submission, RFP review, and cost/pricing modeling.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to transition design to operations.
• Mentor a small team of SD Engineers and optimize logistics networks.
