Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to grow our Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation offerings. You will design and propose solutions that deliver financial value, understand the customer business, and transition designs into operations during startup.

You will lead a pursuit from start to finish, mentor a small SD engineering team, and coordinate with bid teams to ensure the proposed design aligns with customer needs and win strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Six (6) years or more in Transportation industry.
• Six (6) years or more in Warehousing/Manufacturing industry.
• Microsoft Office Suite expert (Access, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead bid submissions by reviewing RFPs and shaping solution design.
• Develop and validate transportation/warehousing concepts and cost models.
• Coordinate with pricing and other functions to support cost and pricing models.
• Develop and improve engineering tools and methodologies for best practices.
• Lead projects involving analysis of customer pain-points and solution design.
