Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support growth in Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation by designing and presenting winning, financially valuable solutions.

The role involves shaping pursuits from start to finish, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring designs align with customer needs and Ryder capabilities. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6+ years in transportation and warehousing sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering (required).
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry (e.g., Truckload, Multi-stop TL, LTL, Intermodal, Bulk, Rail, or Parcel services) required.
• Six (6) years or more in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Operations) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Solutions Design efforts across multiple design disciplines to win new business.
• Develop and deliver designs that deliver financial value and align with customer needs.
• Coordinate with pursuit team, pricing, and IT to develop cost models and compelling proposals.
• Support awarded business through startup, transitioning design and proposal assumptions to Operations.
• Mentor a small team of SD Engineers and communicate designs effectively to stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
