Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to drive design and delivery of innovative logistics solutions across transportation and warehousing networks. You will support pursuit teams, craft feasible designs, and ensure solutions align with customer needs and Ryder capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, SCM or Industrial Engineering.
6+ years in Transportation and Warehousing industries.
Strong data analysis, modeling and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Tableau and data analytics.

Responsibilities

Review RFPs, objectives, and gaps; develop questions and initial hypotheses.
Data validation, cleansing, profiling, baseline development & scenario modeling.
Compute labor, equipment, facility and expense requirements; define concepts with IT.
Develop optimization scenarios aligned with client objectives.
Present and support technical reviews and design validation meetings.
Lead implementation follow-ups; verify deployed processes match plan.
Develop and improve engineering tools and methodologies.
Lead consulting projects addressing customer pain-points and solutions.
