Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to drive design across transportation and warehousing networks. You will lead a pursuit from start to finish, shape wins, and mentor a small SD engineering team to deliver feasible, value-driven designs.

Ideal candidates have deep experience in logistics design tools, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling compelling proposals and successful startup transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years in Transportation industry (TL, LTL, Intermodal, etc.).
• Minimum 6 years in Warehousing/Manufacturing operations and analytics.
• Advanced MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, clarify gaps, and develop initial hypotheses for solution design.
• Validate data, cleanse datasets, and define scenarios for modeling.
• Develop labor/expense estimates and coordinate cost models with Pricing.
• Create optimization strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Lead cross-functional bid response meetings and present designs.
