Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team in Charlotte, NC. You will lead up to 10 Field Service Technicians, oversee daily scheduling, supervision, and safety compliance while coordinating with planning to maximize generation.

The role requires 5+ years in renewables or 3+ years with an Associate/tech cert, plus supervisory experience and strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Occasional travel and training are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of renewable energy experience
3+ years related experience with Associate degree or technical certification
Bachelor's degree in electrical or technical field with 6+ months of relevant experience
Supervisory experience of field staff as a lead or foreman
Strong attention to detail
Ability to use electrical test equipment such as DMM, megger, and calibration tools
IR Certificate Level 1
Ultrasound qualifications are a plus
Strong knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to a team of up to 10 field service technicians and manage daily schedules
Review and create work procedures; provide technical guidance to technicians
Perform calculations (current/voltage) and diagnose issues at intermediate level
Complete safety documentation (LOTO, JSA, Permit to Work) and maintain records
Read schematics to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Support regional maintenance and QA/QC activities; travel up to 25%
