Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to join its Operations & Maintenance team across solar PV plants in Texas. You will supervise up to 10 technicians, schedule daily activities, and oversee safety, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems from MV to 12VDC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in renewable energy sector.
• 3+ years related experience and Associates Degree/Tech School Certification.
• B.S. Degree (electrical) with 6+ months of applicable experience.
• Supervisory experience of field staff as a lead or foreman.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment (DMM, megger, cal tools).
• IR Certificate Level 1 is preferred.
• Ultrasound qualifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 10 Field Service Technicians on reliability-based maintenance.
• Schedule daily activities and review work procedures with supervisors.
• Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot electrical & mechanical components.
• Perform current/voltage calculations and document findings.
• Complete safety documentation (LOTO, JSA, permits).
• Create reports and meet reporting requirements.
• Review schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Support QA/QC activities and safety training.
• Travel up to 25% and respond to site emergencies as needed.
