Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Manager, O&M to lead the operations and maintenance of solar farm facilities in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and cost control across plant sites, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include supervising production, implementing preventive maintenance, managing budgets, and coordinating with asset management and project development teams. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A 2-year or 4-year college degree in Business or technical hard science (Engineering, Physics, Power, or closely similar) from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet is preferred.
• A current journeyman or master electrician license may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, including at least 2 years in the renewables industry managing plants.
• Minimum 2 years in a lead or supervisor position.
• Knowledge of industry standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and ensure that plants operate within design parameters in a reliable, safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure facility processes and procedures are adhered to as well as in compliance with all rules, regulations and laws as applicable.
• Monitor production to ensure plants are meeting performance expectations.
• Coordinate and resolve operational abnormalities.
• Plant Maintenance: ensure timely maintenance and repair of plant components; perform preventive/predictive maintenance.
