Job summary

Harvest Solar in Champaign, IL seeks a Construction Site Superintendent to coordinate field operations on solar projects, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and efficiency. You’ll serve as on-site leader and liaison among crews, subcontractors, Project Managers, Safety, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, enforcing safety procedures, managing daily field activities, and ensuring work meets project requirements within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred
• Valid State Driver's License; CDL preferred
• 3–5 years of construction experience with leadership or supervisory role
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required
• NABCEP certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Make safety the primary consideration in every decision.
• Oversee daily or weekly Job Hazard Analyses and maintain site safety plans.
• Lead on-site employees and direct workflows across multiple disciplines.
• Submit daily and/or weekly field reports and maintain project documentation.
• Plan equipment placement and manage look-ahead schedules.
