Job summary

Red 6 Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Test Engineer to lead our software test team. You will design and develop test procedures and test environments, ensuring proper verification of software against system requirements, and report status to leadership.

This role requires hands-on testing experience and leadership in an Agile setting. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams, implement CI/CD testing, and help shape testing processes for AR/defense solutions and HIL

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required.
• 6+ years leading software test efforts in SDLC for custom hardware in Agile environment.
• Strong C++ development experience for HIL-based applications.
• Experience designing detailed test plans, procedures, and cases.
• Proficient with TestComplete, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Pytest, JIRA, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Deep integration and regression testing expertise.
• Familiarity with white/black box and functional testing methods.
• 3+ years in CI/CD testing; 2+ years Linux-based systems.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Transform requirements into R&D, qualification, and acceptance test plans.
• Troubleshoot software issues and Linux applications with logs and reviews.
• Perform manual and automated testing with HIL.
• Develop test cases and interfaces with software development.
• Lead and mentor testing team; drive CI/CD testing frameworks.
• Define regression strategies for daily/bi-weekly builds.
• Develop ground-based test methods and test tooling.
