Job summary

Red 6 is seeking a senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead development, validation, and deployment of production test systems for aerospace electronic assemblies. You will ensure end-to-end test capability at Red 6 and contract manufacturers, building robust automated tests and fixtures.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with software teams and CMs, with travel to facilities and a focus on traceability, data management, and compliant documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production test engineering (aerospace/defense preferred).
• Experience with Python, C/C++, or similar test platforms.
• Strong background in PCBA and system-level electronic test.
• Experience developing automated test systems and fixtures.
• Experience supporting CMs in test implementation.
• Familiarity with compiling/building test software in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of traceability and production data management.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• US Citizen (security clearance is a plus).
• Travel is required to CM facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation and deployment of production test systems for complex aerospace electronic assemblies.
• Define test coverage, acceptance criteria and reporting standards.
• Develop a plan for real-time test logs, results and failures for each build activity.
• Oversee CM development and duplication of test racks and fixtures.
• Ensure test processes meet aerospace standards and document procedures.
