Job summary

Red 6 is seeking a Hardware Test Technician to join a hands-on team validating AR/flight hardware. You will execute test procedures, diagnose electrical, optical, and mechanical issues, and work with engineers to ensure performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include maintaining test benches, recording data, and supporting integration and field testing. A technical associates degree and 2–5 years of hardware testing are preferred; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics.
• Hands-on hardware testing, troubleshooting, or technician experience (2–5 years).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with Linux and basic command-line usage.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware and system-level test procedures guided by engineering.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues including electrical, optical, and mechanical faults.
• Record and report test data; escalate failures to engineering teams.
• Assist engineers in validating new hardware builds and configurations.
• Support setup and maintenance of test benches and fixtures.
• Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to support product development.
