Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Lead HIL/SIL Test Engineer to drive automated testing for embedded systems. You will define testing strategies, lead bench activities, and mentor offshore engineers to ensure high-quality validation across hardware and software interfaces.

You will interpret requirements, develop test scripts, and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues while maintaining clear communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 5–7 years of HIL/SIL or embedded systems testing experience
• Strong Python test automation/scripting experience
• Hands-on experience with dSPACE and OPAL-RT for HIL testing
• Strong knowledge of CAN, J1939, and other communication protocols
• Understanding of V&V methodologies
• Experience with functional, performance, regression, positive/negative, and boundary testing
• Ability to read hardware schematics and identify I/O connections
• Experience in off-highway/heavy machinery, automotive, industrial controls, or embedded control systems
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and mentor offshore teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated software tests using Python
• Define test requirements, SIL/HIL boundaries, test priorities, and execution plans
• Configure and execute HIL test frameworks and bench activities
• Develop and execute HIL test scripts and analyze results
• Review test cases, scripts, and reports
• Mentor junior engineers and offshore team members
• Translate requirements into effective test scenarios
• Support diverse testing: functional, performance, regression, boundary
• Read schematics to identify I/O and communication ports
• Troubleshoot failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Communicate technical information across culturally diverse teams
