Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manager of Software and Hardware Configuration and Data Management to lead CM across Lunar Permanence programs. You will own policies, processes, and tools, guiding software and hardware baselines from development through delivery, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, QA, and SMA to embed CM in every phase.

As a discipline lead, you will recruit, mentor, and develop staff, drive program-level CM plans, and ensure compliance with DO-178/DO-254 and other standards to

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM with 8+ years aerospace/related experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams and/or functional groups.
• 5+ years of hands-on software configuration management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Software and Hardware Configuration and Data Management engineers and analysts; responsible for hiring, performance reviews, compensation management, and career development.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor a team; embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin Leadership Principles.
• Define, own, and continuously improve Software and Hardware Configuration Management policies and practices across the enterprise.
• Define and manage program-level Configuration Management Plans and tailoring while maintaining compliance with company procedures and processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust configuration management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9115, DO-178, DO-254).
• Lead software design integration and configuration review activities; facilitate Software Configuration Control Boards and audits.
