Job summary

S&P OpCo, LLC is seeking a Lead, Software Development/Engineering to drive end-to-end development for index calculation platforms used by S&P Dow Jones Indices. You will participate in all SDLC phases, design scalable services, and ensure code quality and performance.

The role requires strong Java/J2EE, SQL/PL-SQL, Big Data, and cloud/DevOps experience, with opportunities for annual incentives. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field and 5 years of experience.
• 5 years of experience must include: Java, J2EE, JMS, EJB; SQL/PL/SQL; Big Data / Microservices; Spark with Java and Hadoop DFS; Python; CI/CD/DevOps tools; AWS (EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue); QA automation (Cucumber, Selenium, Karate); Oracle DB; Networking and Unix scripting.
• Base salary range stated: 189,592 to 206,350 with annual incentive eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Design, develop, and enhance end-of-day index calculation platforms for SPDJI.
• Review code for standards, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to triage and resolve platform issues.
• Integrate internal apps with third-party/vendor software.
• Set up development environments and maintain version control.
