Job summary

S&P OpCo, LLC is seeking a Lead, Software Development/Engineering at 55 Water Street, New York, NY. The role covers the full SDLC, includes coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, and focuses on end-of-day index calculation platforms for SPDJI.

Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems and five years of software engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related occupation.
• Experience with Java/J2EE/JMS/EJB; SQL/PLSQL; Big Data / Microservices; Spark with Java and HDFS.
• Advanced Python; CI/CD / DevOps / Ansible / Fortify / Jenkins.
• AWS services EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3 and Glue; QA Automation (Cucumber, Selenium, Karate).
• Oracle Database; Networking knowledge; Unix scripting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle with coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Design, develop, and enhance end-of-day index calculation platforms for SPDJI.
• Review code for standards, maintainability, and performance; troubleshoot at scale.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to triage and resolve platform issues.
• Set up development environments, check in code, and maintain configuration management.
• Interface with relational databases to extract data, generate outputs, and build reports.
