Job summary

S&P Dow Jones Indices seeks a Technical Team Lead — AI, AWS, Java Full-Stack to guide design, development, and delivery of our index calculation and back-testing platform.

This hands-on leadership role requires mentoring engineers, reviewing architecture and code, and partnering with product, QA, data and business stakeholders to deliver auditable, scalable software across index calculation, backtesting, and analytics workflows.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with Java full-stack.
• 5+ years of technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and leading design discussions.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, workflow orchestration, data processing, APIs, and production ops.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native development, including security, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and Spec-Driven Development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews, sprint planning, and production readiness.
• Mentor engineers, review architecture and code, and guide delivery teams.
• Collaborate with product, QA, infrastructure, data, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into plans.
• Develop backend services and modern frontend components to deliver scalable platforms.
• Ensure security, observability, and auditable workflows across the platform.
