Job summary

E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Colorado Springs team supporting NORAD.

You will lead software engineering efforts, design and deliver reliable mission software, and collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into clear technical plans. The role balances hands-on development with strategic leadership, requiring expertise in containers, full-stack architectures, and strong DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

ITW/AA or the NISSC II contract within the past year.
AT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
12+ years of general work experience; 10+ years directly related experience as a Software Developer.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering teams in design, development, and delivery of reliable mission software.
Develop and integrate full-stack applications; familiarity with containerization technology.
Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and testing throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate with product owners, scrum-masters, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate needs into actionable plans.
Advocate for modern development practices, including automation, DevSecOps, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor and support junior software developers; foster growth and skill development.
Understand cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements relevant to mission or enterprise systems.
Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership responsibilities.
