Innovim-Defense-Services,-LLC in Colorado Springs is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to support NORAD ITW/AA and NISSC II with day shifts at the Chidlaw Building and Peterson Space Force Base. Remote work is not available; a Secret clearance is required, and relocation is not offered.

The role leads software teams, drives full-stack development, containerization, and DevSecOps practices while mentoring juniors and ensuring secure, compliant solutions for mission needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with ITW/AA or the NISSC II contract within the past year.
• Must have AT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• 12 years or more of general work experience.
• 10 years or more of directly related experience as a software developer.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Experience developing technical solutions to meet defined requirements.
• Detailed understanding of containers and containerizing applications.
• Experience working within an Agile development team and completing tasks on-time.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of reliable mission software that meets customer requirements.
• Develop and integrate full-stack applications and familiarity with containerization technology.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and testing throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with product owners, scrum-masters, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into actionable technical plans.
• Advocate for and implement modern development practices, including automation, DevSecOps, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and support junior software developers to foster growth.
• Understand cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements for mission or enterprise systems.
• Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership responsibilities.
