Job summary
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Maritime Sonar Systems in Camden, NJ. You will drive agile software practices across multiple teams, shaping the software engineering approach for encryption programs and working closely with leadership to improve efficiency and execution.
Lead with data-driven decisions, mentor technical leaders, and ensure governance, cost estimates, and schedules align with best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with extensive software leadership experience.
- Experience influencing senior engineering and business leaders across programs and boundaries.
- Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and governance in regulated environments.
- Must have active US security clearance (Secret) to start.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead an engineering pipeline for high-quality, low-defect software across encryption programs.
- Define and improve software processes, standards, tools, and governance across multiple teams.
- Mentor engineering leaders and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
