Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Software Development Lead for the OnVUE team to provide technical leadership across one or more squads. You will guide architectural design, mentor engineers, and drive the adoption of modern development practices to deliver secure, scalable solutions for Pearson VUE's remote proctoring platform.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps, lead reviews, and ensure high-quality, maintainable software while supporting cloud-native deployments and adherence to security

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years of technical leadership or lead developer experience.
Strong experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
Experience leading Agile engineering teams.
Experience working within cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to one or more development squads and mentor engineers.
Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale software solutions for OnVUE.
Drive engineering excellence, code quality, security, and performance standards.
Lead architectural discussions and design reviews with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and DevOps to enable secure, scalable deployments.
