Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Software Development Lead for the OnVUE team to guide one or more squads in designing and delivering scalable software on a remote proctoring platform. You will mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and align with product goals across cloud-native architectures.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to ensure secure, reliable solutions, champion modern development practices, and contribute to platform modernization initiatives while managing stakeholder

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years of technical leadership or lead developer experience.
Strong experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
Experience leading Agile engineering teams.
Experience working within cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentor engineers across one or more squads.
Lead architectural discussions, design reviews, and coding standards.
Drive code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Support release planning and platform modernization initiatives.
